OUR STORY
We’ve come a long way since our humble beginnings as manure merchants back in 1963. Starting out with one old wagon, Mick Hamilton & Ian Brydie steadily grew the business. By 1968, Ronnie Anderson took over Mick’s share of the company and they started to concentrate on local haulage.
Adding a range of garden chips and sands to the haulage service in the 80s allowed the business to grow steadily. Installing a wash plant for roughcast chips in the early 90’s gave the company the potential to make the business what it is today.
With a move to our present site in 2010, we invested in a new washing and bagging facility that quickly became the envy of the industry. We now import products from quarries across the UK and throughout Europe by road, sea and rail and we offer some of the most advanced renders available on the market today.
As one of Scotland’s largest suppliers of Decorative Aggregates being part of our local community is important to us. From supporting local charities, fundraising and donating products to good causes, Hamilton & Brydie are also proud sponsors of Alloa Rugby Club.
Director Derek Brydie commented, “Continuing this long standing relationship with Alloa Rugby Club is extremely important to our company. We know the fantastic work the club does in the development of it's young people and have witnessed the lifetime bonds and friendships a club like Alloa can foster.
