TREE REMOVAL

There are a number of reasons why it may be necessary to completely remove a tree.

Either the tree is diseased, dead or needs to be removed for safety reasons. Sometimes trees need to be removed for aesthetic reasons, or it has simply outgrown the space it occupies.

If it is safe to do so and there is enough space, this can be achieved by directional felling.

When there is not sufficient space to fell a tree intact, we will carry out a controlled β€˜sectional fell’ where the tree is dismantled in sections from the top, down.

Where necessary, sectional felling is undertaken using lowering ropes and pulleys to safely control every stage of the removal.

A Crown Reduction involves reducing the crown or canopy, and therefor reducing the overall height of the tree.

We do this by reducing the crown area from the tips of the branches to suitable growth points.

There are many benefits to crown reduction, such as reducing the effects of shading or loss of light into your home or garden. The process can also encourage re-growth in a declining tree as well as controlling and managing the height and overall shape of the tree itself.

This process may often be necessary due to potential hazards, such as power lines and wires overhead or removing damaged branches after a storm. Due care and diligence is respected at all times in accordance with the protection of nesting birds that are protected by law.

If you would like to discuss crown reduction for your tree, simply get in touch with us and a member of our team will arrange a site visit and talk you through your options.

CROWN REDUCTION

CROWN LIFTING

Crown lifting involves the removal of the lower branches of a tree, creating a higher crown or canopy.

This may be necessary if low hanging branches are causing an obstruction or pose a potential hazard to vehicular or pedestrian traffic or purely for aesthetic reasons, such as opening up desirable views otherwise blocked by lower branches.

We carry out this operation by either safely removing whole branches, or parts of branches that extend below the desired height.

The process allows you to manage the growth and direction of the tree as lower branches can often restrict the amount of light coming into your home

STUMP REMOVAL

When trees are felled or fall naturally, their stumps should be removed to prevent suckering and fungal root rots.

Although often very large and heavy, stumps can be removed with the right equipment and technique so mechanical access may be required.

Safety practices are followed at all times to protect our team and your property from any debris. As always, all waste will be ethically removed from site and repurposed or recycled as per our guidelines.

HEDGE CUTTING

When done correctly, a strong, well trimmed and maintained hedge can provide valuable shelter from winds, increase privacy and form a boundary around your property.

However they do require regular maintenance to strengthen the roots and promote healthy growth in order to serve its function.

We provide a hedge cutting, trimming and shaping service to define, re size or reshape a hedge to improve its overall appearance and health. No job is too big or small, whether you require a heavy reduction or an annual trim.

Let the professionals take care of your hedge maintenance, with the technical skills, experience and correct equipment, our team are on hand to help.

HEDGE REMOVAL

Hedges are used all over the country as natural boundaries and look aesthetically pleasing as well as offering shelter to wildlife.

However, they do require regular maintenance and can quickly grow out of control.

Unattended hedges can cause obstruction to pedestrian access but they can also be removed to provide more space on your property, or provide more light. Perhaps your hedge needs to be replaced with fencing instead?

Our team are fully equipped to carry out this operation efficiently, whereby we will cut the hedge down to stumps, then grind the stumps or completely remove them if you wish. Smaller stumps can be removed by hand.

Again, all waste will be chipped and removed from site.
